At Imaginos NDE we are proud to represent the Imperium Accoustocam i600 UT Camera. This Imperium news was reported in the BINDT NDT News in December 2014 (http://www.bindt.org/News/December-2014/lmperium-announces-licensing-agreement-of-ultrasound-camera-for-subsea-usage/)

lmperium, Inc has announced the signing of a worldwide licensing arrangement to adapt lmperium’s unique ultrasound camera inspection system for subsea applications. The agreement with Subsea 7 covers a variety of diver and ROV-mounted uses in an offshore energy setting. Once lmperium’s tools are adapted for subsea usage, the two companies will perform a series of trials on both legacy and advanced materials.

“We are delighted to have formed this alliance with Subsea 7. The far-reaching presence and significant engineering capabilities of Subsea 7 will allow us to grow our application set to completely new areas,” said Bob Lasser, Chief Executive Officer of lmperium, Inc.

“lmperium’s NDT products make ultrasonic testing extremely simple, and applying their innovative camera technology to subsea usage represents a large potential advantage for our inspections,” said Graham Sharland, Vice President of Life of Field for Subsea 7. He added: “We see this technology as another key step in providing support to our oil and gas customers in maintaining the integrity of subsea infrastructure.”

Latest News Successful show at JEC Europe 2014

Imaginos NDE joined other exhibitors at the JEC Europe 2014 show for the first time from 11th to the 13th March 2014. The show saw spread over two floors of the Porte De Vasailles Exhibition Centre, Paris and offered everything from pre-preg supply and composite manufacture companies to Service providers and Quality Assurance companies including NDT.

The show had grown by 100% on the year previous, now occupying just over 500.00sq ft. or the equivalent of 8.5 football pitches and it did not disappoint in delivering exciting stands and ideas.

Imaginos NDE used the opportunity to show case the PRAGMA Phased Array Ultrasonic testing equipment including the OrthoMatic 60 Scanner including a live demonstration of how the equipment can be used for crack detection in composite materials.

The PRAGMA PAUT state-of-the-art beam former features 16 active channels, multiplexing over 128 elements, 100 MHz sampling per channel, 16-bit A-scan and many other advanced features.

The OrthoMatic 60 Scanner is a compact scanner capable of fitting into its own rugged suitcase. However PRAGMA are capable of manufacturing a scanner to any size a client may need. This was well received at JEC Europe and opened discussions with potential end-users who were looking for in-line inspection systems.

Alongside the PRAGMA technology, we were also promoting the Acoustocam™  from Imperium Advanced Ultrasound Imaging. Based on Imperium's innovative and patented Digital Acoustic Video (DAV™) technology, both the AcoustoCam™ and the FirstMap™ system capture real-time, hi-resolution video C-Scan images. These images are displayed in real-time on a display unit that features an intuitive touch-screen interface.

The technology employed in the Imperium imaging products instantly detects voids, delamination’s, cracks, and corrosion in materials in both controlled and field environments.

The growing need for accurate NDT in the composites market allowed the Imaginos NDE team to spend time helping visitors to the stand with their application issues and concentrate on finding whole solutions to their problems.

Latest News Eclipse Representation News in NDT News

We were pleased to see that the news of Imaginos NDE becoming the official Distributor in Europe for Eclipse Scientific made front page news in NDT News this week. http://www.ndtnews.org/content.asp?PageID=1925

Here is the full story:

Imaginos NDE has announced that it is now the official distributor of the Eclipse Scientific range of products for the European market. The final agreement was signed by Mike Reilly and Robert Ginzel (President and CEO of Eclipse Scientific) at the ASNT 2013 Fall Conference in Las Vegas, although Imaginos NDE had already purchased demo equipment and received training in anticipation of the new partnership.

Imaginos NDE will represent the following Eclipse Scientific products: ESBeamTool; ESTempMaster; ESFlangeScanner; ESPipeBeetle; ESInspectionBank; ESBoltScanner and ESFlange Solution Suite. Imaginos NDE has invested in demo equipment for all these product lines and further product training took place in November.

ESBeamTool is a ray tracing software product used for technique development and to help resolve those complex applications for UT, PAUT and TOFD inspections. Trusted by over 2000 customers worldwide, ESBeamTool is easy to use and can quickly build a scan plan for in-field inspections. It can offer very simple configuration through to full CAD and complex shape outputs, making it an obvious selection for any ultrasonic inspection. New add-on modules extend the capability of this software. Zonal, ZonalCalBlock, AScan and one for high-temperature work are all add-on options that comply with the continued industry demand for visualisation of the application.

The ESTempMaster product line offers users a full-solution phased array inspection package for corrosion and weld inspections at elevated temperatures, eliminating the requirement for shutdown time in production environments. Available in two temperature ranges, up to 150°C or 350°C, the TempMaster package can be purchased with an automated scanner specifically designed to operate at elevated temperatures up to 370°C; optional accessories include high-temperature encoders.

ESTempMaster, when used with ESBeamTool, enables the operator to compensate for beam angles that will be affected by the high temperatures, in order to correctly locate flaws – something that makes this solution unique in the NDT market.

ESFlangeScanner can be used with any PAUT flaw detector on the market and offers fast, simultaneous in-service inspection of both seal faces of raised face flanges, without having to dismantle or shut down the production line. When used in combination with the ESPipeBeetle and the ESBoltScanner, all components of raised face, RTJ and Grayloc flanges can be inspected.

The ESBoltScanner, designed for bolt inspection, should also be considered when inspecting bridge pins or shafts. This handy scanner enables encoded travel so repeatable scans are easy, and data display makes interpretation a visual solution.

ESInspectionBank supports an entire inspection cycle from project planning and data acquisition, through analysis and diagnostics, to reporting and data management. This software has already been adopted by several major North American service companies and plant owners.

Mike Reilly, CEO of Imaginos NDE, commented: “I am delighted to initiate our co-operation with the team at Eclipse Scientific. The product range is impressive and will fit seamlessly with the Pragma phased array product range. We look forward to building up the portfolio of satisfied customers that Eclipse has already established in Europe.”
