Imaginos NDE joined other exhibitors at the JEC Europe 2014 show for the first time from 11th to the 13th March 2014. The show saw spread over two floors of the Porte De Vasailles Exhibition Centre, Paris and offered everything from pre-preg supply and composite manufacture companies to Service providers and Quality Assurance companies including NDT.
The show had grown by 100% on the year previous, now occupying just over 500.00sq ft. or the equivalent of 8.5 football pitches and it did not disappoint in delivering exciting stands and ideas.
Imaginos NDE used the opportunity to show case the PRAGMA Phased Array Ultrasonic testing equipment including the OrthoMatic 60 Scanner including a live demonstration of how the equipment can be used for crack detection in composite materials.
The PRAGMA PAUT state-of-the-art beam former features 16 active channels, multiplexing over 128 elements, 100 MHz sampling per channel, 16-bit A-scan and many other advanced features.
The OrthoMatic 60 Scanner is a compact scanner capable of fitting into its own rugged suitcase. However PRAGMA are capable of manufacturing a scanner to any size a client may need. This was well received at JEC Europe and opened discussions with potential end-users who were looking for in-line inspection systems.
Alongside the PRAGMA technology, we were also promoting the Acoustocam™ from Imperium Advanced Ultrasound Imaging. Based on Imperium's innovative and patented Digital Acoustic Video (DAV™) technology, both the AcoustoCam™ and the FirstMap™ system capture real-time, hi-resolution video C-Scan images. These images are displayed in real-time on a display unit that features an intuitive touch-screen interface.
The technology employed in the Imperium imaging products instantly detects voids, delamination’s, cracks, and corrosion in materials in both controlled and field environments.
The growing need for accurate NDT in the composites market allowed the Imaginos NDE team to spend time helping visitors to the stand with their application issues and concentrate on finding whole solutions to their problems.
